where can i buy pygmy seahorses in houston, texas?

I am looking for a pygmy seahorse here in houston. I haven't shopped around, and I would like to see if there is any place I can buy them instead of just going across town and being unsucessful. Easy 10 points!

I assume you mean a dwarf seahorse (Hippocampus zosterae). Pygmy seahorses are not available in captivity at all.



For a dwarf seahorse, you'll likely have to order online. This is because they have specialized requirements and most fish stores won't bother to carry them with the extra work involved and low price they fetch.



On that note, are you prepared to care for dwarf seahorses? You must hatch brine shrimp for them every day, and they can't go a day without food or they'll starve.
